How templates work

Merchants without a developer get a site the same way developers deploy theirs: from a repository, built by SalesEngine.

  1. Build a siteStart from the storefront, funnel or community starter with the site CLI and build on the site SDK, with any framework that runs on Workers.
  2. Publish it as a templateA template is an app version whose source is your site’s repository. It asks merchants for no permissions and goes through review before it’s listed.
  3. Merchants install itInto a store, funnel or community site. SalesEngine copies your repository into the site’s own, builds and publishes it, and their developers can push changes afterwards.
